January Favs!

Phew, here we are nearing the end of January! How are everyone's resolutions holding up?! Mine aren't too shabby! I've been going to the gym, eating better, washing off my makeup every night, and making my bed every morning! I'm looking forward to February, hopefully I can maintain my momentum! Anywho, let's get to the favorites, shall we?

1. Ardell Wispies Fiber Building Mascara ($15 Sally Beauty Supply): PEOPLE-I finally found a great, affordable, CRUELTY-FREE mascara!!!! I have been on a search for almost a year for something that doesn't smudge, doesn't run down my face, and actually makes me look like I have full, healthy lashes! I mean when I say a year, I mean it-I tried two Pacifica Mascara's, Blinc Mascara, Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes, Urban Decay Perversion and Troublemaker, Essence...and probably a few others I'm forgetting. I love this so much and I'm excited to try Ardell's other mascaras!

2. Bare Minerals Gen Nude Buttercream Lipgloss ($18 Sephora): Now that I'm working full time at my skincare studio, I'm starting to wear a more natural look during the day and these glosses are perfect! I heard about them from my hairstylist and sidekick, Katie Christenson of Le Salon, and I'm so glad she told me about them! The formula is really creamy and gives a nice amount of shine. They aren't too sticky, but still last a long time and they're kind of minty, which is nice! I have two colors Heartbreaker and Forbidden and I love them! Great for daytime or a subtle wash of color with a bold eye look!

3. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfecting Highlighter ($38 Sephora): I was late to the party on this product! I honestly got a little annoyed by all the hype and didn't bother getting it until it went on sale (I got it for $17!) and I'm really glad I bought it! The hype was real, it has a great creamy formula and amazing glow without being too glittery. I got the shade Pearl and now I want the Rose Gold!

4. Murad Retinol Youth Renewal Eye Serum ($85 Sephora): So, I have to be honest, I primarily use the products I carry in my studio, but if I'm given a good sample at Sephora I'll totally try the product! This is an amazing eye serum if it's in your budget. It feels very light and hydrating, it has no scent, and I would be willing to bet you could see some great results with this product over time. I'm still experimenting with my Skin Script Tri-Peptide Eye Serum ($30 Fresh Skincare Studio) to see if I get improvements on my dark circles, but I wouldn't be opposed to purchasing a full-sized bottle of this product.

5. Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26 Sephora): These are hands down my favorite lipsticks ever!!!! They are free of lead, gluten, sulfates, parabens, phthalates or petrochemicals (not even silicone) and they're cruelty-free! Plus, they are GORGEOUS. The formula is super rich and creamy like a lip balm and the colors are super saturated, plus this has a great wear time considering it's a traditional lipstick. Also, it smells really good kind of like a soft lemon scent. I also love their lip pencils because they extend the wear and make the color even more opaque.

Did you find new products to love in January? What are you hoping to try in February? I hope your resolutions are holding as fast as your lipcolor!

XOXO

Regina
